This policy explains what information Chess AI Pro collects, why we collect it, and how it's used. We built this extension to be as privacy-respecting as possible — it analyzes chess positions locally where it can, and only sends the minimum data needed to run your account and subscription.
To provide login and premium features, Chess AI Pro collects a limited set of information directly tied to your account:
We do not collect your chess games, move history, or board positions on our servers — analysis happens through the engine running inside the extension itself, and is not logged or stored remotely.

All payments for PRO subscriptions are processed securely through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. Your card and banking details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure checkout — Chess AI Pro never sees, transmits, or stores your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials at any point.
We retain account and subscription information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service and comply with legal or accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us — we'll remove it within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the extension and our backend, and restricted access to account data. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
